Advisory Committee

Through a 2015 board order, the Tillamook County Board of Commissioners (BOC) established Tillamook County Wellness, designating Tillamook County Community Health Centers (TCCHC), the local Public Health Authority, as the “backbone” for the initiative. Annually, the BOC appoints community members to serve on a Wellness Advisory Committee to lead the coalition. This all-volunteer group collaborates with community partners and regional systems to collect and review data from Tillamook County’s triennial Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Through a criteria-based process,  collective strategies are selected to improve population health and community well-being, resulting in a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) that is updated every three years. Progress is reported out through “All Calls” in March, July & November, which are open to the public.

The Tillamook County Wellness (TCW) Advisory Committee is supported by a core operations team. Through a partnership agreement, the following organizations and their representatives have agreed to work together to meet the administrative and operational needs of the initiative:  Marlene Putman, Administrator, Tillamook County Health and Human Services/TCCHC; Eric Swanson, President and Michelle Jenck,  Well-Being Director, Adventist Health Tillamook; Kayla Warner, North Coast Community Research Liaison, Oregon Health & Science University.
